Our Journey
Our journey started in Simondium, Paarl, with the facility trading as the Nucellar Nursery. In 2007 it moved to Citrusdal which is an African Greening free area, has the ideal hot and dry climate and because most of its clientele was from the area. Production manager Trish Willemse also made the move and managed the citrus nursery in its new location, producing 400 000 trees per annum. In March 2007 the facility was renamed to Cederberg Tree Nursery.
In 2014, the ANB Group of companies operating throughout the agricultural value chain, acquired the Cederberg Tree Nursery and added it to the Du Roi Agritech group of nurseries. Following the ownership transition, ANB invested significantly in the infrastructure and increased the capacity of the nursery to be able to produce 800 000 field-ready trees. Trish Willemse and her team remained with the nursery when Trish was appointed as General Manager in 2019.
